Or must I use the axe/sword?

live vic, vig spirit, whirlwind, crude, earthshaker, and maybe balths aura. the rest is optional. i forget what i use to use that for.. but yeah.. lol. maybe HM elemental farming.. i honestly forget XD

Pretty sure that works for any melee based mobs, eg vermin, trolls etc. Not raptors as they have crit defences.

Doesn't the troll's healing sig activate too fast for you to knock them down? It'd work in NM pretty well, but HM sounds different.

If you're spamming Earth Shaker, they should be down most of the time so you should catch most Heal Sigs. Btw, you can't interrupt the trolls heal sig in NM; they don't have it
